Recruitment

Hi! Want to help us out? That would be awesome. Aside from passing the tests, we also require that you actually have the time to do this kind of thing. While we know this is obviously just a hobby, please don’t bother applying if you’re going to disappear without a word. We’re not strict with time, but we don’t like people who keep us waiting and then just go poof.

For aspiring editors/cleaners/typesetters, there are nice scanlation guides here. By the way, we also accept trainees, but patience and basic knowledge in photoshop or other editing software is required. :)

When you’re done with your respective tests, the contact form can be found at the bottom of this page! Good luck.
If for some reason the contact form isn’t working, please send the form to silvermoon33@live.com

Raw Provider

If you think you might have Raws of something that we might want to work on, please go ahead and ask. If you’re not the scanner but you have something to donate, please do – as long as your source doesn’t forbid it.

Note: If you’ve scanned more than enough for us and you seem trustworthy, we’ll start buying the books which need scanning and have them shipped to you.

Requirements: Scans should be of high-quality. 300dpi would do it.

Test: If interested, please submit two sample scans (one in black and white, the other in color).

Translator - Currently looking for ONLY J>E translators

We are accepting Japanese>English translators and Chinese>English translators. A chapter (40 pages) should be done in 1-2 weeks. When you send in your test, please include how long you’ve been speaking the language. You can use notepad, word – whatever you’re comfortable with. You can use any format you want (separated dialogue by character, by panel… it’s your choice, just as long as it’s understandable). Of course, include page numbers. Please include SFXs.

Test: J>E Test, C>E Test

Proofreader – Currently not looking

Editor

A chapter (40 pages) should be finished within two weeks. Can clean a page (black is black, white is white), and be able to redraw (not too strict with this, but it’s a plus – easy redraws are expected, though). Width should be 700px for single pages, 1400 for double pages. Can insert text with the appropriate font. For the test, use regular wild words for dialogue, italicized wild words for thoughts, bold wild words for yelling, augie for small talk and your imagination for everything else. (Note: Please don’t use gray-colored fonts! We know the guide above instructs that, but we don’t prefer it for personal reasons~). For the test, save images as both a PSD and a PNG-8. (The PSDs are in case something needs to be changed while QC-ing.)

Cleaner

A chapter (40 pages) should be finished within two weeks. Can clean a page (black is black, white is white), and be able to redraw (not too strict with this, but it’s a plus – easy redraws are expected, though). Can get rid of the text on a page. Width should be 700px for single pages, 1400 for double pages. For the test, save images as a PSD. The original raw with the untranslated text should be there as a layer, so it’s easier for the typesetter.
